The successful candidate must understand the unique character of a small rural community.
Visionary Leader – Our Superintendent must be a highly motivated visionary leader with a progressive approach to education, who is passionate about the future of the Coupeville School District. The successful candidate will be a skilled, collaborative team-builder and strategic problem-solver who is approachable by students, employees, and all district stakeholders.
21st Century Learning – Our Superintendent must lead with a passion for sustaining and advancing the integration of educational technology district wide.
Operational Leadership – Our Superintendent must be a forward thinking leader with the ability to see the operational needs of the district: school finance, transportation, maintenance, Washington State common school law, labor relations, and long term facility needs.
Instructional Leadership – Our Superintendent will hold students as the highest priority by setting high expectations based upon current research and aligned with district goals. They must be an innovative educational leader who has operational knowledge of K-12 curriculum and instruction including student services.
